Breakfast at the hotel – full-day guided excursion in the “heart of Abruzzo” – visit to Pescocostanzo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy located in the Maiella National Park (walking tour in the historic centre), Pescasseroli in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park, Civitella Alfedena (one of the most charming and best-preserved villages for its typical appearance of medieval villages in the Apennine mountains), Scanno (called ‘the photographers’ village’ for having inspired many great photographers with its atmosphere and ancient traditions) - lunch in a typical restaurant - in the evening return to the hotel in Sulmona – dinner at the hotel – free evening – tour leader at guests’ disposal – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – departure for Civitella del Tronto - guided visit of the fortress village (remains of this mighty fortress located on the borders of the then Papal State) - lunch in a typical restaurant - in the afternoon guided visit of Atri, a town rich in history and art (Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with a horizontally crowned façade, Romanesque structure and 15th-century decorations, walking tour through the historic centre to admire the exterior of Palazzo degli Acquaviva up to the belvedere) - small tasting of liquorice and the typical cake “Pan Ducale” and Città Sant’Angelo (a village where time seems to have stood still, suspended between the mountains and the sea, to which the imposing Collegiate Church, noble palaces, historic town gates and churches give elegance and breathtaking beauty) - free time for shopping - in the evening accommodation at the hotel in Pescara - dinner in a typical restaurant - after dinner Pescara by night, walking tour with tour leader – overnight stay.

6. Day 6Lower Molise “villages, wine tasting, sea” - Larino & Termoli km.190

   Breakfast at the hotel – full-day guided excursion – departure for Lower Molise along the Biferno valley – travelling across spectacular viaducts, we will cross Lake Guardialfiera that formed following the construction of the dam of the same name - visit to Larino (historic centre with the Cathedral, the Church of San Francesco, the Ducal Palace – Roman amphitheatre) – visit to a winery & typical lunch with DOC wine tasting (experiential visit into the world of wine with one part in the vineyard to touch the vine by hand and one part in the cellar, visit of the winemaking areas and ageing rooms, tasting with barrel samplings, and finally ending at the table with a tasting menu made up of a series of samples of typical products and dishes paired with Doc and Igt wines) and Termoli (walking tour in the Old Town enclosed by ancient walls, among the most beautiful in Italy, standing on a rocky promontory directly overlooking the sea, with the Cathedral at its centre, a national monument in Romanesque style, and the Swabian Castle – external visit) - in the evening return to the hotel in Campobasso - dinner at the hotel – after dinner walking tour with tour leader – overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel – full-day guided excursion – visit of Pietrabbondante (Samnite archaeological complex), Agnone (Pontifical Marinelli Bell Foundry, churches, historic centre) – light lunch with tasting of cheeses and dairy products, visit to a historic cellar and a tuff cave for cheese ageing – Pescopennataro, ”the village of fir trees and stone” – continuation to Capracotta along a panoramic road that crosses the Bosco degli Abeti Soprani with a stop at the plateau of Prato Gentile at 1,600 metres above sea level, where a stop is a must to admire a splendid and unspoilt mountain environment – Capracotta (the village) - in the evening return to the hotel in Campobasso - dinner at the hotel - free evening – tour leader at guests’ disposal – overnight stay.
